Mysterious clues in a forbidden green box launch a son's discovery of a father he never knew - a WWII pilot whose love and courage are woven with iconic historic events. Meet a hero: remember a time we must not forget. Based on the book THE GREEN BOX, we follow Jim Kurtz to the Austrian Alps where his father's B24 crashed along with 16 other planes and to a POW camp in Poland as Jim tries to discover who his dad was. We hear from WWII veterans who were shot down and who made the forced march across Germany, and we hear about their sacrifices and examine the effects of PTSD on combat veterans.
