Arlberg is the epitome of hibernal idyll – and the cradle of alpine skiing. But there is a lot more to this famous skiing resort that connects Tyrol and Vorarlberg.

For more than 100 years the Arlberg has been touristically exploited and yet breathtaking flora and fauna, including orchids, large numbers of rock goats, red deer and a vast population of groundhogs continue to exist. During the winter most parts of this area are inaccessible to man and in summer the hiking trails belong to those in search for recreation – but the rest of this territory belongs to the animals.
